2017-20: Sebaceous gland carcinoma of the ocular region: clinicopathological features and outcome
In the Netherlands there is no protocol regarding diagnostics, treatment and follow-up in patients with sebaceous gland carcinoma in the periocular region. An evidence-based protocol would enable clinicians to provide the best treatment possible. In order to develop such a protocol, consensus in diagnostics and tumor staging is necessary. This will help to identify high- and low-risk features which allow to determine the appropriate treatment approach. The objective of this study is to describe potential risk factors for local tumor recurrence, tumor metastasis and mortality. By determining these factors the diagnostic and therapeutic approach can be adapted.
